CANCELLATION & REBOOKING POLICY

If a trip expiration date is applied to your package, an extension fee of $1000 may apply to travel within 6 months after the trip expiration date.

If cancellation is made more than 90 days prior to arrival, there is no cancellation fee, and the trip may be rebooked within 12 months from the original booking date (so long as the rebooking date is within the trip expiration date). If travel cannot occur within 12 months of the original booking date, a 100% cancellation fee of the total reservation charge applies.

If cancellation is made more than 60 days and less than 90 days prior to arrival, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total reservation charge applies.

If cancellation is made 60 days or less prior to arrival, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total reservation charge applies.

Reimbursements for cancelled trips are not possible.

CHILD POLICY

Hippo Lakes is a great place to take your family on a safari. The Hippo Tent is ideal for a family of 4 or 5.

Children age 9 or younger are not allowed at Hippo Lakes without special permission. Requests special permission requests may be submitted to bookings@hippolakes.co.za for children 9 or younger.
